Preparing for Easter

Join Us on a Lenten Journey

What is Lent?

Lent is a season of reflection and preparation leading up to the celebration of Easter Sunday. By observing the 40 days of Lent, Christians replicate Jesus Christ's sacrifice and withdrawal into the desert for 40 days. Lent is marked by fasting, both from food and activities. The intent of fasting is to make space to spend time with Jesus and to change our focus from things to him.
Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent, officially called the “Day of Ashes,” because of the practice of rubbing ashes on one’s forehead in the sign of a cross.
Join us for Ash Wednesday Service,
February 26th from 6-7pm in the Youth Room.

Childcare available.
