Serenity

Serenity Group is an anonymous twelve-step recovery group where people seek freedom and recovery from addictive agents. Addictive agents are those persons or things on which we form an excessive dependence. The list of addictive agents includes, but is not limited to: drugs, alcohol, gambling, sex, and codependence.

Serenity meets every Wednesday at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. The last Wednesday of every month is Dinner Night, in which we eat a free dinner and hand out birthday chips for those celebrating an anniversary of sobriety.

Dale M. and Ken M. have led Serenity Group for nearly 20 years.

Serenity meets in several groups:

  • Newcomers — led by Mike S. and Jeff P., both of whom have professional experience working in the recovery field. As always, this is a Step Study out of the Serenity Bible.
  • Men’s Group — headed by Dave J. and Bill K. All men are welcome.
  • Women’s Group — led by Angela B. and Angel M. All women are welcome.
  • Couple’s Group — led by Albert & Patricia L. for all couples in recovery.
  • Sereni-non — Alice J. leads a group for codependents (similar to Al-Anon) for spouses and family of alcoholics and addicts.
  • Sereni-teen — Pastor Michael T. of Jordan Crossing Ministries leads his “Real Choices” program for teens.
  • Anger Management — Pastor Ed teaches his one-of-a-kind class for managing anger in a godly way.

We encourage everyone who thinks they may have a problem with habitual sin (addiction of any kind) to attend Serenity. We openly welcome all members of the community without prejudice or bias. All meetings are confidential and anonymous.
