A Ministry to Help Fire Victims Get Back On Their Feet
Week 3

"At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality."
2 Corinthians 8:14

As we continue to Adopt Fire Victim Families,  we will be introducing a new family ever few weeks. So far we have helped the Jamison Family, this week we are working to help the Sexton-Brazos Family. You will be able to find previous families and see if there are still items they need that have not been met. This page will show the current family, to see previous families click on their picture below.

Introducing the Sexton-Brazos Family:

The Sexton—Brazos Family of six consists of Joseph and Vanessa, three teen girls and on eleven-year-old boy. They were in the process of moving to Oroville when the Camp Fire occurred on Nov 8, 2018. They lost everything, except the one load of items they had retrieved from a Paradise storage unit, but they didn’t ask for any help, instead they housed Camp Fire evacuees.

When the Bear Fire happened on Sep 8, 2020, the whole family volunteered at the makeshift donation center at Lakeside Market. The kids were a big help organizing donations. As they were delivering food to people in the burn area, they were in a car accident causing major damage to their vehicle. Right now, they are in need of furniture (see list on back). But through all the hard times, Vanessa has held on to faith and still proclaims that God is good.
