Christian formation is the lifelong process of growing in faith. It is the work of Christ in our hearts transforming how we think, how we live, and how we relate to God and others. At OroNaz, we desire to help our people grow. One way we do that is by offering different classes and groups throughout the year specifically designed to promote growth in the following three areas:

1) Learning the story of God (developing biblical literacy)
2) Living out the story of God (practically in relationships, finances, parenting, etc.)
3) Expanding the story of God (maturing and making disciples).

We are currently working on updating our list of classes and groups available, we'll have more info soon with descriptions and more. Here are some details about what's currently happening:

GOD’S GRACE IN YOUR SUFFERING
Led by Kelly Yam
Sunday mornings, 9:00-9:45, Oct 5 - Nov 23

We all face suffering—whether through illness, loss, broken relationships, financial strain, or loneliness. In those moments, we often find ourselves crying out to God, searching for comfort, answers, and peace. But what if suffering isn’t just something to endure… what if it’s an invitation…an invitation to experience deep intimacy with Christ?

This class is for anyone who is walking through hardship or wants to be spiritually prepared for when suffering comes. Through reflections from God’s Grace in Your Suffering by David Powlison, Scripture and personal testimony we will explore how Jesus meets us in our pain with his real presence, deep love, and sustaining grace.
GOING DEEPER
Led by Barry Franks
Sunday Mornings 9:00-9:45, Room 117

In this class we will learn how to read the Bible for depth instead of distance. We will look at short passages of Scripture as we go through the book of John, listening for the Lord's promises, commands, warnings, errors to avoid, insights, interesting facts, and more. We will learn to personalize His words to us through Scripture and grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus.
DAVID: THE LONG-AWAITED KING
Led by Harold and Linda McCoy
Sunday mornings, 9:00-9:45, Fellowship Hall, Oct 5 - Nov 23

This class will focus on the second half of David’s life; his anointing as king over Judah and eventual reign over all of Israel. We’ll focus on the decisions he makes, his victories and struggles, and how that applies to our own lives. We’ll explore such themes as faith and trust, guilt and forgiveness, and vision and purpose. Let’s join with David in becoming men and women after God’s own heart.
