We are taking a short break through the Holidays:
Check back for upcoming events in 2021

Welcome To Women Alive!

As we head into the Holidays and take a short break from our Women Alive activities, we encourage you to join us in doing so with a hopeful, grateful, joyous and thankful heart. This past year has taking it’s toll on us all in one way or another. It is easy to get discouraged with all the disappointments, distractions and chaos of this world. Good news is... this is not our home. We are nearly visitors waiting and preparing for the return of our Savior Jesus Christ to take us home to our Heavenly Father! Isn’t that exciting? So when the stresses of the holiday demands and fear of this uncertain world try to creep in, remember these precious words and use them as a prayer.
Psalm 17:8
Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings...
Rest in the truth that Jesus loves you and has a beautiful plan for the coming year and your life! (Jeremiah 29:11)We  hope to see you back in 2021!
Love and blessings,
The Women Alive team

Women Alive presents: Nazarene Bible Fellowship

Fall Class 2020 Rediscover it Online

Life, Lies & Love - a 5-week inductive Bible study into First John.
Our desire is that we will be challenged to know and serve God better through engaging group discussions, a tidbit of thought-provoking homework, and insightful instruction with Kelly Yam.  Please take your time and watch the videos and take part in what we experienced this Fall,  whether you are new or experienced in Bible study, course materials can still be requested by calling the church office for pick-up at 530-533-7464.

Sew Much is working from home during this Covid Season Pick-up dates are available, contact the Church Office.

Our monthly meetings are a combination of encouragement, discussions and sharing. We are self-funded through donations and the gifting of fabric. We have been blessed.
We are always looking to expand our ministry and share the joy of serving with new members. Interested in quilting, serving or making new friends? We meet the last Thursday of each month from January through September.
Our Sew Much ladies have been busy!! As a group, they have already made and donated 550 masks! They are also partnering with another organization, Nor-Cal Community Masks (Facebook), who have been instrumental in finding, motivating, encouraging and communicating the institutions that are requesting masks. Their group has donated over 3000 masks! While Sew Much has all the fabric they need right now, there is a nationwide shortage of 1/4 and 1/8” elastic. If anyone has any stashed at home, they would appreciate the donation.

Here's a message from Cynthia Strickland to the Sew Much members, and to YOU if you want to get involved right now:

Hello Ladies, I hope you all are doing well in light of the worlds’ struggle with this Covid 19 virus.  It’s a trying time and can, if we let it, lead to panic.  I know I have been tempted to go there a few times.  There is one word that I feel God gave me to help me during this time.  “ACCEPT”  Accept the circumstances, accept the anxiety, accept the grief, accept the isolation, etc.  Then let God lead us through the circumstances doing what we have been told, to be prudent and wise in our choices to minimize the spread of this virus.  Stay home and stay healthy!  We can do that.  At the same time we can pray for peace, for healing and love and help others to the extent that we can.

One of the ways we can help and occupy ourselves during this time of sheltering at home is to make masks for our family, friends and the medical community.  If you have been keeping up on the news, you know that the medical community is in desperate need of supplies.  I am planning on making some masks to give away as they are one of the PPE (personal protective equipment) that are in dire need and something that can be made easily.  I will be giving you a few links on tutorials on how to make them for those of you who may be interested and have the means to do so.  It, I believe, is a great project that our ministry can be involved in.  I will be posting my finished masks on our Facebook page for Women Alive – “Oronaz Women’s Ministry”.

We would also like to see pics and comments of any projects you are working on by emailing them to Jennie Bishop and she will make sure they get posted to the Facebook page. This will be a great way for us to stay in touch.  😊  (Jennbishop83@yahoo.com)

Special Events

Save the Date:
Sadly, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our retreat for 2020 has been cancelled. We look forward to Spring 2021 when we can all gather together again for a time of worship and fellowship in the beautiful setting of Mt. Hope.

Faith Talk:
We eagerly anticipate the time when we will be able to get together in larger groups so that we can participate in another Faith Talk early spring! This will be a fun time of relaxation and renewal, which many of us will need!
Our purpose here at Women Alive is to provide opportunities for women of all ages to connect with other women and build relationships, study God's Word, learn, personally grow, and cultivate intimacy with Jesus Christ. We would love to have you join us on this journey!
